Within the four acre grounds of Vintners Retreat there is a 12 metre solar heated pool, a tennis court, a Pentanque strip and croquet sets for guest use.
For children, we have a selection of outdoor toys and a play-hut to amuse.
The Outdoor Pool
If your stay at Vintners Retreat is during the warmer months, you can enjoy the 12 meter solar heated swimming pool. Sun loungers and outdoor furniture are provided by the pool, with shady areas should the sun prove too fierce. Read a book, take a dip, and relax.
Children in the pool area under the age of 14 years must be supervised by an adult.
Tennis
The Tennis Court is available for guest use year round. There is no need to book, games are played on a first come first serve basis. Racquets and balls are provided free of charge, or you are welcome to bring your bring your own equipment.
Garden Croquet
Break out the cucumber sandwiches! Set up a game on the communal lawn and while away a sunny afternoon. Croquet set and rules are provided. Finish the round with a fruity glass of Pimms under a shady tree...
Boules
Bring a little French flair to your visit with this classic game. Play with two, four or six people in teams or compete as individuals in casual play. Keep with tradition and toss a coin to decide who plays first! Boules sets and game rules are provided.
